Welcome to the Amazon Innovation Accelerator (AIA) programme, delivered by Growth Studio in partnership with Amazon. By accessing and participating in the AIA programme through this website (aia.growthstudio.com), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Amazon Innovation Accelerator (AIA) – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

We are a Data Controller of your information.

Growth Studio Group Ltd legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Information we collect and the specific context in which we collect the information:

  • Growth Studio Group Ltd needs to perform a contract with you
  • You have given Growth Studio Group Ltd permission to do so
  • Processing your personal information is in Growth Studio Group Ltd legitimate interests
  • Growth Studio Group Ltd needs to comply with the law

Growth Studio Group Ltd will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. If you wish to be informed what Personal Information we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.

2.1 Participation in the AIA programme is free of charge for eligible SMEs. However, participation is subject to selection criteria and availability.
2.2 Applicants must provide accurate and complete information during the application process. Growth Studio reserves the right to verify eligibility and reject applications at its discretion.
2.3 Participants must adhere to all programme guidelines, including but not limited to attending scheduled events, completing required coursework, and engaging in peer networking opportunities.
2.4 Participation does not guarantee business success, funding, or any commercial relationship with Amazon or Growth Studio.

3.1 All programme content, including training materials, presentations, and digital resources, remain the intellectual property of Amazon, Growth Studio, or third-party licensors.
3.2 Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use programme materials for their internal business purposes only.
3.3 Any unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of programme materials is strictly prohibited.

4.1 By participating in the AIA programme, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal and business data in accordance with Growth Studio’s Privacy Policy.
4.2 Growth Studio and Amazon may collect and analyse data provided by participants to assess programme impact, compliance, and improvement.
4.3 All confidential business information shared by participants will be treated with the utmost care; however, participants acknowledge that neither Growth Studio nor Amazon can guarantee complete confidentiality.
4.4 Participants agree not to disclose confidential information about Amazon, Growth Studio, or fellow participants without prior written consent.

5.1 Participants must behave professionally and respectfully at all AIA events, both online and in person. Growth Studio reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these standards.
5.2 Growth Studio and Amazon reserve the right to make changes to event dates, agendas, and speakers at their discretion.
5.3 Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and other incidental expenses related to attending in-person events unless otherwise stated.
5.4 Attendees agree to comply with all health and safety regulations during site visits to Amazon fulfilment centres and other venues.

6.1 Growth Studio and Amazon shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from participation in the AIA programme.
6.2 Participants acknowledge that the programme is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
6.3 Growth Studio and Amazon do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content provided and are not responsible for any decisions made by participants based on programme materials.
6.4 Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Growth Studio and Amazon from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of their participation.

7.1 Growth Studio reserves the right to terminate a participant’s involvement in the programme if they fail to comply with these terms and conditions.
7.2 Participants may withdraw from the programme at any time by notifying Growth Studio in writing. No guarantees or refunds (if applicable) will be provided upon withdrawal.
7.3 Growth Studio may discontinue or modify the programme at any time without prior notice.

8.1 By participating in the programme, participants consent to the use of their business name, logo, testimonials, and photos/videos taken during events for marketing and promotional purposes.
8.2 Participants may opt out of media usage by submitting a written request to Growth Studio prior to participation.

8.3 By signing up for the Amazon Innovation Accelerator (AIA) programme, participants agree to receive marketing communications from Growth Studio, including updates, promotional materials, and relevant information about the programme and related opportunities.

9.1 The AIA website may contain links to third-party websites or services for convenience. Growth Studio and Amazon are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.
9.2 Any third-party products or services recommended during the programme are provided “as is” without endorsement or warranty.

10.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11.1 Growth Studio reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be posted on the AIA website, and continued participation in the programme will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.

Innovation Challenge Prize (ICP) Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the participation in the Amazon Innovation Accelerator (AIA) Innovation Challenge Prize (ICP) organised by Growth Studio in partnership with Amazon.

***Amazon is responsible for approving the terms and conditions set out for eligibility.

1.2 By submitting an application for the ICP, participants agree to be bound by these Terms.

2.1 The ICP is open to UK registered small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that have:

  • ***Aa UK registered company.
  • Attended an AIA event.
  • Completed at least 70% of the AIA Digital Course on Circle.

2.2 Only one application per business is allowed.

2.3 Employees of Growth Studio, Amazon, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

2.4 SMEs attending events after 3rd October 2025 may apply for a subsequent ICP in 2026, as they will not meet the current application deadline.

4.1 Applications will be shortlisted by a selection committee comprising representatives from Growth Studio, AIA, and Amazon.

4.2 Finalists will be evaluated by an independent judging panel including industry experts, Amazon representatives, and innovation leaders. ***Amazon will be the ultimate and final decision-maker on who is awarded the prizes.

4.3 The evaluation criteria for each prize category are outlined below:

  • Innovation Challenge Prize & Runner-Up:
    • Innovation (30%)
    • Implementation (20%)
    • Impact (20%)
    • Alignment with AIA Principles (20%)
    • Scalability/Replicability (10%)
  • Social Value Award:
    • Social or Environmental Impact (40%)
    • Innovation (25%)
    • Alignment with AIA Principles (20%)
    • Scalability (15%)
  • Leader in Innovation (Individual Prize):
    • Leadership (40%)
    • Innovation Strategy (30%)
    • Application of AIA Learnings (20%)
    • Peer Recognition (10%)

4.4 The judging panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the outcome.

5.1 The prizes for the ICP are as follows:

  • 1st Prize: £50,000
  • Runner-Up: £25,000
  • Social Value Award: £15,000
  • Leader in Innovation (Individual Prize): £10,000

5.2 Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. ***Amazon reserves the right to substitute any prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.

5.3 Prize funds must be used for purposes related to the proposed innovation strategy outlined in the application. Growth Studio and/or Amazon may request evidence of how the funds have been allocated.

6.1 ***Amazon reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • Submits false or misleading information.
  • Fails to comply with these Terms.
  • Engages in any conduct that may harm the reputation of Growth Studio, Amazon, or the AIA programme.

6.2 Disqualified participants will forfeit their eligibility to receive any prizes.

7.1 Participants retain ownership of any intellectual property (IP) rights in their submissions.

7.2 By entering the ICP, participants grant Growth Studio and Amazon (and their promotional partners)a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use their submissions for promotional and marketing purposes related to the AIA programme.

8.1 Growth Studio will not be liable for:

  • Any technical failures or malfunctions affecting the submission of applications.
  • Any loss, damage, or injury suffered by participants as a result of entering the ICP or accepting any prize, except where caused by Growth Studio’s negligence.

8.2 Participants are responsible for all costs and expenses associated with participating in the ICP, including travel and accommodation for attending events.

9.1 Growth Studio will process personal data provided by participants in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its Privacy Policy.

9.2 Participants agree that their names, business names, and photographs may be used for publicity purposes by Growth Studio and Amazon.

10.1 ***Amazon takes full responsibility for ensuring these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. ***what about Scotland and wales ****

10.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the ICP shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11.1 Amazon reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on the AIA microsite, and participants will be notified via email.

11.2 Continued participation in the ICP following any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
